Sand Diver
Sand diver fish typically feed on small invertebrates, such as crabs, shrimp, and worms, that live on or in sandy bottoms. They use their well-developed sensory organs to detect prey under the sand and then use their protrusible jaws to suck the prey out of the sediment. Sand diver fish may also feed on small fish and will sometimes scavenge on dead animals they find on the seafloor.
